Yoga is a great fitness discipline for toning, strength, flexibility and relaxation. With it’s tremendous versatility, the TRX suspension trainer is a natural fit with yoga and provides excellent support to allow for more advanced movements. Movements I didn’t have the balance or strength for previously.
Note: this routine can be done with any suspension trainer or even a home-made set of straps suspended from a suitable overhead anchor point.

Tips For This TRX Yoga Workout
- For the leg movement section of this routine, adjust the TRX length to just slightly below hip level.
- For the final upper body stretches, adjust the TRX length to about 12 to 16 inches above the floor.
- Hold the stretches for at 30 seconds and breath deeply from the diaphragm.
- The movements are meant to be slow and deliberate. Go at your own speed and limit your range of motion to what is comfortable for you.
The TRX Yoga Fusion Sequence Of Movements
Left Foot In The Stirrups:
- Inner thigh activation – side kick left
- Hip rotation isolations – with arm variations
- Steady Sorcerer or Sorceress – strength and balance sequence
- Gentle hamstring stretch – left leg
- Inner thigh (abductor) and groin stretch
Right Foot In The Stirrups:
- Inner thigh activation – side kick right
- Hip rotation isolations – with arm variations
- Steady Sorcerer or Sorceress – strength and balance sequence
- Gentle hamstring stretch – right leg
- Inner thigh (abductor) and groin stretch
Final Stretches:
- Rocking child’s pose with deep breaths
- Shoulder and scapula yin isolations
